LA MOSTRA
This innovative artistic journey explores the world of pop icons through the vibrant lens of the Sicilian artist, who redraws with light and color female figures who have left an indelible mark on the collective imagination. From Raffaella Carrà to Moira Orfei, from Madonna to Queen Elizabeth. The exhibition, which includes eleven portraits of iconic women, is completed with the new statue of the Superheroes series, Wonder Woman , a contemporary symbol of resilience and empowerment.
Central to the exhibition project is the dialogue between the luminous faces and a collection of texts written by Eleonora Lombardo, entitled “Ètuttaspetto”: a game of stories that give life to narrative maps, exploring the connection between the real body and the body of text, between fiction and reality.
Thanks to augmented reality , visitors will be able to interact with the works, also enriched by the voices of Sicilian women in the entertainment industry. A multisensory experience that pays homage to the female figures who have marked the collective imagination.

VIVA PALERMO
Viva Palermo, an installation by Domenico Pellegrino, created with the participation of the students of the Comprehensive Institute “Karol Wojtyla/Arenella” of Palermo
The artist has created a work dedicated and inspired by the figure of Santa Rosalia, orchestrated as a story that expresses themes such as rebirth and resilience, resistance and devotion, with elements borrowed from the iconography of the city of Palermo, using the traditional technique of illuminations. The scream is the saving part, the scream of joy of those who are saved from the plague, the scream of those who score a goal, the scream is happiness. So to identify this rebirth, the artist has represented the Sicilian market in which the abbanniata is the traditional and joyful popular call.
In order to respond to the requests indicated by the CHANGES project, the Comprehensive Institute “Karol Wojtyla/Arenella” of Palermo was involved. Students and teaching staff worked, with the coordination of the artist, and will be protagonists of meetings, visits and public occasions during the exhibition to promote the artistic and educational value of a work created through a process of sharing and co-design.
AMAT-Azienda Municipalizzata Auto Trasporti di Palermo supported the mobility of students by ensuring the realization of the project. Viva Palermo was created within the CHANGES project: Cultural Heritage Active Innovation for Next-Gen Sustainable Society PNRR (2023-2025), Fondazione Sicilia participates in Spoke n. 9 “Cultural Resources for Sustainable Tourism” together with the University of Venice, the University of Bergamo, the University of Florence, the University of Turin, Sapienza University of Rome, the University of Roma Tre, the Società cooperative culture, the Association Centro di Eccellenza DTC Lazio, EDIL CO.
